Course Information & Schedule

Courses in the School of Public Policy meet once per week and are primarily scheduled in two time slots, 4:30 – 7:10pm and 7:20 – 10:00pm. (Courses in the Organization Development and Knowledge Management Program are scheduled on weekends in an executive format.)  While every attempt is made to offer required courses during both time slots, this is not always possible, and students should be prepared to enroll in courses at either time.

In order for enrolled students to register for a course, please follow the detailed instructions for using Patriot Web which can be found in the SPP Student Guide for Patriot Web.

Patriot Web is the system used to register for classes, review account balances, make tuition payments, and obtain grades. The system may be accessed on or off campus using Internet Explorer.

SPP tuition for in-state students is approximately half the cost of the tuition at private competitors in the D.C. area.

Employer information sessions are offered each semester with public, private, and nonprofit organizations such as the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, RAND, Third Way, and the Department of Treasury.

More than 70% of SPP students are employed while pursuing their degrees -- classes are offered in the late afternoon and early evening to accommodate full- and part-time students.
